
State-of-the-art infrastructure
The first asset by which Morocco has attracted the different delegations taking part in the competition is the quality of its infrastructure. Whether in Rabat, the capital, or in other cities, the sports, hotel and road infrastructures have allowed the 24 qualified nations to live a qualitative and fulfilling adventure.
Morocco presented nine stadiums, including 4 in Rabat for the competition, more than one stadium for each group, thus reducing the distance covered for the teams until the end of the first round of the competition. A variety of sports facilities both for the matches and for the training grounds unique to each nation.
Actors throw flowers at Morocco
Several players, starting with Mohamed Salah, rejoiced at the quality of the organization of the competition by Morocco. After Egypt’s victory (3-2) in the quarter-final against Côte d'Ivoire, the Pharaons' number 10 did not hold back his awe.
«I would like to thank Morocco for the organization. The people here are of a very high level in terms of order and security. I have never participated in a competition in Africa with an organization of this level. A big thank you to them, and I wish them lots of success,"
said Mo Salah.
After the defeat (4-2 on penalties) of Nigeria against Morocco in the semi-final, Eric Chelle, coach of the Super Eagles, praised "the exceptional organization" of Morocco. Pape Thiaw went in the same direction last Saturday in a press conference before the final on Sunday.
«A big thank you to Morocco for this great organization, which has raised the level of the competition»,
despite the lack of security around his team that he deplored.
President of the Cameroonian Football Federation, Samuel Eto'o also threw flowers to Morocco for the successful organization of this AFCON 2025:
«...We also wish to express our deep gratitude for the exemplary quality of the organization of this competition, as well as for the fraternal, warm and benevolent welcome given to our team, our delegation and our supporters by the Moroccan people»,
wrote the boss of Fecafoot in a statement.
