CAF Cup: Complete match day 5 results

Group A: USMA and Safi bagged all 3 points
The suspense ended in Pool A of this 2026 edition of the CAF Cup. By winning a spectacular match in Côte d'Ivoire against FC San Pedro (2-3), USM Alger confirmed its status as favorite and validated its ticket for the quarter-finals. The Algerians will be accompanied by the Olympique Club de Safi. The Moroccans did it at home with a 2-1 win over Djoliba AC. The last day will only be used to determine who will finish first in this group completely mastered by the two neighbors.

Group B: The Ben Yedder effect at Wydad is on
It was the attraction of this beginning of the year: the debut of Wissam Ben Yedder under the colors of Wydad Casablanca. The former French international did not disappoint by scoring the only goal of the match at the very end after his entry into play against Nairobi United (0-1). A precious success that place the Moroccans on a royal path towards qualification.

On the other hand, stoppage blow for AS Maniema Union. The Congolese, who only needed a small point to validate their ticket, fell in Tanzania against Azam FC (1-0). This result totally restarts the race to second place: everything will be decided on the 6th day when Maniema will no longer have the right to make a mistake against Nairobi United to hope to pass.

Group C: Otôho and the CRB already in the big eight
In Group C, the hierarchy is now fixed. AS Otôho delivered a high performance by hammering the South Africans of Stellenbosch (3-0), surprise last season. At the same time, CR Belouizdad went for a short but crucial victory on the field of the Singida Black Stars (0-1). With these results, the Congolese and Algerians are officially qualified for the direct elimination phase, leaving their Tanzanian and South African opponents on the ground.

Group D: Zesco United brings down Zamalek
This is undoubtedly the most undecided group.  Kaizer Chiefs made the perfect operation by dominating Al Masry (2-1) at the Peter Mokaba Stadium. Carried by their public, the South Africans take first place and are almost qualified.

The sensation came from Zambia, where Zesco United defeated Zamalek (1-0). This defeat plunges the Cairote giant into total uncertainty. While the Egyptians seemed favored, they now find themselves under direct threat from Al Masry. The final day promises to be electric with a frontal clash between the Kaizer Chiefs and the Zamalek that will determine the final fate of this group of death.
