Native of Yaoundé, Emmanuel Eseme is a sprinter who continues to make his little progress. He won his first gold medal at the Islamic Solidarity Games in Konya, Turkey, on the 200m, in 2022 (20s16).

Emmanuel Esseme is currently the fastest Cameroonian over 100m.
After a lightning spell at the 2019 World Championships and the 2020 Olympic Games, Emmanuel Esseme has bounced back well. The Cameroonian sprinter distinguished himself at the African Championships in Mauritius. In 2022, he narrowly lost the gold medal in the 200m, ahead of Botswanan Letsile Tebogo.
Also in 2022, Eseme enters the history of her country. He sets the national record in the 100m with a time of 10s 08 achieved during the Commonwealth Games. He erases Idrissa Adam tablets.
In 2023, Emmanuel Eseme descends for the first time below the 10-second mark. He achieved a time of 9.96 in July 2023, at La Chaux-de-Fonds in altitude. A new record from Cameroon.

The African Games of 2024, a consecration.
After his first place at the Islamic Solidarity Games in Konya on the 200m in 2022, at the Francophonie Games in Kinshasa on the 100m in 2023, the Cameroonian hit hard the same year. At the African Games in Accra, Ghana, in 2023, Eseme finished with gold, finishing first in the 100m with a time of 10 s 14.
Thanks to his experience and consistency on the circuit, Emmanuel Eseme had the honor of being the flag bearer for Cameroon at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. He was in the company of the judokate Richelle Anita Soppi Mbella.
Despite his status as the flag bearer of Cameroon, Emmanuel Eseme was unable to achieve the feat. The Cameroonian stopped in the semi-finals on the 100m. His time of 10 s 00 did not allow him to qualify for the final in this event. Just like at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, Japan, the native of Yaoundé misses his qualification for the final.
Emmanuel Eseme has three national records to his credit. The first on the 200 m with 20 s 31, on August 10, 2019 in Yaoundé, the second on the 100 m with 9 s 96 in La Chaux-de-Fonds in Switzerland, on July 2, 2023, and the third on the 60 m with 6 s 52, in Glasgow, on March 1, 2024.
