A choice deemed relevant
For many Burkinabe supporters, Amir Abdou represents a credible option adapted to the current context. Gaël Clément Ro'Eh describes him as one of the "best options" available, highlighting his ideal profile: an external coach in the "national biotope" but with a solid African experience, both in clubs (FC Nouadhibou, Hassania d'Agadir) and in selections (Comoros, Mauritania). The priority objective, according to him, is to give back an identity of play to the team, based on historical Burkinabe values such as fighting spirit, solidarity and self-transcendence. He also calls for a liberated football, without "handbrake", and insists on the need for the federation to grant the coach a long lease (minimum 4-5 years) and total freedom in the choice of his technical staff.

He points to a certain responsibility of the federation in these past malfunctions.

The reactions of the supporters show a consensus: Amir Abdou is perceived as a serious and promising choice, capable of bringing discipline, ambition and a vision adapted to African football. However, enthusiasm remains tempered by recent disappointments.
