On a frôlé le pire en Afrique du Sud, dimanche 5 juin. Pour le compte du All Africa Lightweight de la Fédération mondiale de boxe, Siphesihle Mntungwa était face à Simiso Buthelezi. Ce dernier a complètement perdu ses repères après un échange de coups nourri.
Le boxeur était tellement désorienté qu’il a tourné le dos à son adversaire. Il a ensuite commencé à balancer des coups dans le vent. Les médecins sont vite intervenus. Ensuite, les secours ont emmené Simiso Buthelezi à l’hôpital. Les médecins l’ont par ailleurs plongé dans un coma artificiel. Son agent a précisé que l’état de son poulain était stationnaire.

UPDATE : Buthelezi's trainer says he's visited him twice..."There's no change in his condition, he's in a coma, he's not talking, moving or doing anything right now.
