Injury has ruled out Africa’s top men’s player Julien Paul from the All Africa Senior Badminton Championship 2022.
The Championship sanctioned by the Badminton Confederation of Africa (BCA) will take place at the Lugogo Indoor Stadium between February 14-20th in Kampala, Uganda.
Juliean Paul, who is the best ranked player in Africa will not be part of the Mauritius team because he is still nursing an injury he suffered late last year during a tournament in Uganda.

Brian Kasirye, Uganda’s top men’s player, told Sports News Africa that he is in good form after spending some time in a training camp in the United Arab Emirates. “We are playing at home and we should work hard as a team to get good results,” added Kasirye.

Egypt are the women’s defending champions, while Algeria lifted the men’s title when the Championship was last held in 2020.
