CAF Cup: Quarter-final matchups TP Mazembe will face Pyramids FC in the quarterfinals of the CAF Cup.
Just 48 hours after the epilogue of the group phase, the Confederation of African Football proceeded to the draw for the quarterfinals of the CAF Cup. A draw that offered a choice match between TP Mazembe, winner of the 2016 and 2017 editions, to the newly rich Egyptian Pyramids FC, finalists in 2020. The first leg will be played on Egyptian soil.
On their side, the surprising Tanzanian Simba SC will face the South African Orlando Pirates. Note the Libyan derby between Al Ittihad and Al Ahli Tripoli. Finally, another clash between the Egyptians of Al Masry and the Moroccans of the Renaissance Sportive de Berkane. The first leg will be played on April 17 and the second leg on April 24.
