The second and final preliminary round of the CAF Champions League starts this Friday with the match Al Merreikh - Al Ahli Tripoli. Sixteen matches will be scheduled this weekend.
The favorites, exempted in the first round, enter the competition this weekend. Defending champions Wydad Casablanca face Nigerian club Rivers United. Record winners Al Ahly has a North African derby against US Monastir. Here is the complete program of the second round of the CAF Champions League which ends on Sunday, October 16 with the meeting RCK-Vita Club. Because of the political events in Ouagadougou and on request of the Burkinabe club, the match was indeed postponed by one week. Note that the sixteen winners of the first and second legs qualify for the group stage of the competition.
