SAMARTEX FC 1-2 ASANTE KOTOKO

Kumasi Asante Kotoko defeated FC Samartex at the Nsenkyire stadium on Saturday to record their first away victory since November 2022.

The porcupine warriors took a quick two goal lead in the first half through Enoch Morrison and Rocky Dwamena.

The Timber giants stepped up their game in the second with hopes of leveling thing but could only manage a goal which came in the 69th minute through Ebenezer Acquah.

ACCRA HEARTS OF OAK 1-0 KOTOKU ROYALS

Accra Hearts of Oak beat Kotoku Royals at the Accra sports stadium on Sunday afternoon to close the gap on leaders Aduana, Accra Lions and Bechem United.

The Phobians who drew Bibiani Goldstars last week had to leave it late to record another important home victory.

Coach Ocloo made few changes to his side that drew in Bibiani but failed to find the back of the net in the first half as the defence of Kotoku Royals proved too difficult to penetrate.

Back in the second half, Accra Hearts of Oak had numerous opportunities to have taken the lead but all chances went wasted.

Here comes the miracle moment in the 90+7th minute when Caleb Amankwah rose high to head home from a set-piece at the edge of the box to win it all for the Never Say Die boys.

BECHEM UNITED 3-1 KARELA UNITED

Bechem United bounced back from their 3-1 defeat to Kotoku Royals to inflict a 2-0 pain on Karela United at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour park in Bechem.

Hafiz Konkoni broke the deadlock with a sublime finish to hand Bechem United the lead in the 20th minute.

Isaiah Nyarko doubled Bechem United's lead on the 42nd minute to ensure they go into the break with a 2-0 lead.

Abdul Karim added insult to injury with the third goal of the day for the hunters with a beautiful finish.

Samuel Atta Kumi however pulled one back for  Anyinase based club from the spot but wasn't enough to salvage a point for the visitors.
