Guinea - Ligue 1: Hafia FC win against Renaissance FC and put pressure on Horoya AC

Hafia FC returned to the Guinean Ligue 1 after a few weeks of interruption just a few days after being eliminated from the League Cup. A match counting for the 20th day. Against Renaissance FC, Hafia FC returned to winning ways. The Green and White did not tremble and won with a score of 3-1. Gaoussou Siby opened the scoring in the 20th minute, before Guinean international Moustapha Kouyate scored the second goal in the 66th minute from the penalty spot. Moustapha Kouyate, Hafia FC's star recruit in a huge transfer window, scored his first goal of the season. Alhassane Camara then made it 3-0 in the 76th minute. Abdoulaye Camara's 86th minute strike for Renaissance FC did not change anything.

With this win, Hafia FC are in second place with 37 points, two behind leader Horoya AC. Renaissance FC are seventh with 26 points. In the other game of the day, Wakriya AC, who hosted Ashanti GB, could only manage a draw (2-2). Trailing with eight minutes left in regulation time, the home side found the resources to come back thanks to a goal from Amadou Diakité in the 82nd minute. Wakriya AC are tenth with 25 points. Ashanti GB are sixth with 27 points. Fello Star striker Saran Mamoudou is the leading scorer with 14 goals.
