The Leopards' head coach Christian N'Sengi Biembe recalls Trésor Mputu Mabi for the last two days of the qualifiers for the CAF Africa Cup of Nations 2021. A choice considered important by the coach who does not want to take any risk.
The genius Trésor Mputu is counted among the key pieces that will allow the selection to snatch qualification for the Leopards who will in the month of March sprint for qualification to the soccer come together in Cameroon.
The 35-year-old player will undoubtedly bring a new breath to the Leopards' offensive system. His liveliness and his technical skills in decisive passes are qualities sought after by Christian N'Sengi to capitalize on the last matches of these qualifiers.
Third in the current standings, the Leopards have no room for error. They will travel to Libreville to face the Panthers of Gabon on March 25, before receiving Gambia four days later at the Pentecost Martyrs' Stadium in Kinshasa.
Besides Trésor Mputu, eight other TP Mazembe players have been pre-selected, namely Djos Issama, Michee Mika, Isaac Tshibangu, Arsène Zola, Joël Beya, Christ Kinsangala, Philippe Kinzumbi and Etienne Mayombo.
