Ghana: Stephen Appiah confident ahead of the 2026 World Cup

Former captain of the Ghanaian national team and vice-president of the Black Stars management committee, Stephen Appiah commented on Ghana’s ambitions for the 2026 World Cup. Eliminated in the first round in 2022 in Qatar, the selection aims for an honourable course in the United States, Mexico and Canada. That’s what the former Juventus player said to Betway.

«We have already done it during our participation in the World Cup in Germany (editor’s note, 2006, eighth final attained). And I hope, and I know that with the caliber of players we have, we will get there at the next World Cup, which will take place next year," 

he said.
