No match for Cameroon in June, the reasons revealed

Unlike several unqualified selections for the 2026 World Cup, Cameroon will not play any friendly match in June. No gathering is planned for the Indomitable Lions. Through a press release, the Cameroon Football Federation justified this choice by the fact that the coach David Pagou has decided to give the players time to rest after an exhausting season. 

«This decision aims to allow the Cameroonian international players, most of whom have just completed a particularly demanding season in their respective clubs, to benefit from an essential recovery period, both physically and mentally. The technical staff believes that an adequate rest at this time of year will contribute to better preparation for the upcoming events of the Indomitable Lions, notably the qualifiers for the 2027 African Cup of Nations, whose campaign will begin next September."
