Wilfried Zaha could be heading for Italy. AS Roma coach Jose Mourinho has reportedly contacted the Ivorian international and his entourage about a transfer.
Where will Wilfried Zaha play next season? At Crystal Palace, in the Premier League or in another league? For now, the Ivorian international does not yet know what his future will be. But news from across the channel suggests that he is being heavily courted. And according to Sky Italy, Roma and Jose Mourinho have now made contact with Zaha, who is also a target of Arsenal and Tottenham.
But it seems Roma have made the first concrete move for the Crystal Palace striker, who earns £130,000 a week (€153,500). The same source even revealed that contacts have been made with Zaha's representatives. And it was Jose Mourinho 'himeself' who picked up the phone to reach out the player's entourage.
83 goals, 73 assists in 429 games for Palace
Zaha, who turns 30 in November, has had the best season of his career with 15 goals in all competitions. It was enough for Roma to keep a close eye on the Elephant's case. Zaha has stated on several occasions that he wants to play at the highest level. Perhaps the project of the Romans who will play in the Europa Conference League, could seduce him. Palace, who have set their price at £60m (€70m), could also resign themselves to selling their attacking asset. The deal would give them a big cash influx but allow youngsters like Marc Guehi, Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise to flourish.
Zaha has scored 83 goals and provided 73 assists in 429 games in all competitions for Palace since arriving in south London in 2014.
