Serbian striker Georgijević terminates contract with Tanzania’s Simba SC

Serbian striker Dejan Georgijević has terminated his contract with Tanzania Premier League side, Simba Sports Club.

The striker who has only been with the Club since August this year says he decided to terminate his two year contract because Simba SC were not fulfilling their side of the contractual obligations.

“I confirm that my contract of employment is terminated with a just cause due to the fundamental breaches of the contract by the Club Simba,” said the 28-year old striker in a communication released on September 28th.

Georgijević went on to thank the Simba SC fans for their love and support. “ Thank you fans for the support and love you have given me,” he added.

The Serbian striker joined Simba SC from NK Domzale on the recommendation of the former head coach of the Tanzanian giants Zoran Maki (Serbian) who eventually left the Club last month and joined a team in Egypt.

Georgijević leaves the team having netted only one goal in the 2-0 win against Kagera Sugar FC in a League match played on August 20th at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.

Simba SC are yet to officially comment on the departure of Georgijević who had become a darling of the fans.

After four matches played in the Tanzania Premier League Simba SC are second on the log with 10 points behind reigning Champions Young Africans SC who have the same number of points, but a superior goal difference.
