The second place goes to Cameroon who finally got a deserved victory in their last group game. After two draws, the Indomitable Lionesses dominated Tunisia (2-0). On a pass from Njoya, Abam opened the score in the 3rd minute. The passer turned into a striker in the 90th minute for the goal of 2-0. The Cameroonians will cross paths with the second-placed team in Group C, definitely Nigeria. The game will ignite some old rivalry wounds especially the 2016 finals of the WAFCON played in Yaounde Cameroon. The Super Falcons of Nigeria won that edition by beating Cameroon 1-0 on home soil.
Finally, despite this second defeat in a row, Tunisia will see the quarterfinals. They benefit from one of the two tickets reserved for the best third placed teams from all three groups. Tunisia who beat Togo 4-1 in their opener finish third in the group with three points. On the other hand, it's over for Togo who leave the competition without any success.
