Ghana’s Hasaacas Ladies Hasaacas Ladies extended their unbeaten run in the ongoing TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Champions League to 3 games with a 2-2 draw against Wadi Degla on Thursday afternoon.

The result put Hasaacas Ladies FC top on Group A with seven points and with a record 8 goals scored in the group phase, more than any other team.

In their group opener, they vanquished Malabo Kings by 3 to 1 before beating AS Mande of Mali by 3 goals to nil.

Head coach of Hasaacas Ladies, Yusif Basigi speaking during the post match conference admits that they had a difficult game.

“I anticipated a very difficult match because I remember their coach told that the game will be a very good game. I told my players not be lose focus because our opponents also have a chance to qualify for that matter we must play all out in order to qualify.”

Wadi Degla played so well. They were very tactical but as a results of the experience and determination of my players, we have to do all that we could to qualify.”

“We didn’t start the first half very well because we were forced to play the tactics of our opponents. “-he revealed.

The 2020/2021 Ghana Women’s Premier League and FA Cup champion would face the runners up in Group B for the semifinals.

“Going to the semifinals, we know that two of my key players (Blessing Shine and Azumah Bugre) didn’t play today but they will be ready for the semis. It is always difficult when you have to change your plans because the players you built your team with are not around but i always have a plan B.”

In the other match, Malabo Kings shared points with AS Mande. With the 1-1 score line, Malabo Kings, from a difficult position, qualifies to the semis with four points as runners up. They would face the winner of Group B in the semifinals stage.
