MMA: Francis Ngannou sidelined by the UFC

Francis Ngannou is a terror in the MMA world. The Cameroonian fighter is the current World Heavyweight Champion. He obtained this title after knocking down the legend Stipe Miocic. This victory should have opened the doors of prestige to him. But the Cameroonian still knows neither the date of his next fight, nor his opponent.

The Cameroonian champion is indeed demanding a salary commensurate with his talent and the show he offers. UFC refuses for the moment. This is the reason why he has not fought since his title win and some people are protesting against this situation.

This is particularly the case for Luke Rockhold, who has proven himself in the circuit as a middleweight. As a guest on the MMA Hour, he literally let loose. "If the UFC allows itself to treat Francis Ngannou like this and nobody reacts, if his two brothers Kamaru Usman and Israel Adesanya are not behind him in support like men...especially since these 3 champions, come from Africa, they should have been united. When Francis was put on the shelf by the UFC, it might have changed the balance of power between the organisation and the fighters", he asserts. Luke Rockhold continues. "It was the only big opportunity for the rest of us. Kamaru Usman and Israel Adesanya had a real opportunity to change things for the better. If you try to rip Francis off and you have the three friends rebelling at the same time and showing that they won't take it anymore, they could have toppled Dana White. Unfortunately, they left Ngannou alone in the battle.''
