From time spent riding to working with concrete.

In November 2024, Houda Ait Lahcen joined the Mirleft building site through Concrete Jungle Foundation's Planting Seeds programme. The Moroccan skater learned the techniques of masonry and concrete work there. The site opened on 30 November, on a public square.

The project brought together local workers, international volunteers and apprentices, with Wonders Around The World and the Mirleft Surf Association also involved. Houda learned alongside this team, helping shape a place for other skaters to use. Building it gave her another way to contribute to skatepark life.

In Tamesloht, Houda is also part of Concrete Jungle Foundation's education team. At the Fiers et Forts Skatepark, the autumn 2024 activities included workshops on putting a board together and replacing worn parts. The children also created small magazines around their skate stories: their sessions became stories they could share.

Girls-only sessions allowed some participants to join the programme when they did not attend the other activities. This approach continues the work of Tifrkhin Skate, the collective Houda founded to organise meet-ups and workshops.
