Scorer against PSG on 17 October, the striker is playing her second season with OL Lyonnes. At 27, she must earn her place in a squad where minutes are shared.

On 17 October 2026, Marie-Antoinette Katoto scores at the Parc des Princes. A familiar scene, with one difference: she is wearing the OL Lyonnes shirt. In the 39th minute, Jule Brand sets her up and the striker heads home the second goal of Lyon’s victory over PSG (4-0).
That goal offers a measure of the distance travelled since SNA’s portraits around Euro 2022, when Katoto was Paris Saint-Germain’s centre-forward. At Lyon, there are new team-mates to get to know and minutes to share. Beyond the finish is the work of settling into a team: learning how others play, and building those connections from one match to the next.
Arriving in Lyon in summer 2025, the Colombes-born player signed until 30 June 2029. The move ended her long Parisian apprenticeship and first-team career. Her three league top-scorer awards, in 2019, 2020 and 2022, reflect the expectations she brings with her.
Her first year in Lyon still called for adaptation: fifteen goals in forty matches across all competitions in 2025–2026. That first-season tally sits behind the start of a second campaign, with new understanding still to build.
Her hat-trick against Servette FC on 23 September opens a new European chapter. It is an early marker, rather than a verdict on the whole season.
In July 2022, a right-knee injury had brought her European Championship to an end. Four years later, her story unfolds through the daily competition for places. Against Paris, she leaves the pitch around the hour mark, replaced by Ada Hegerberg. Scoring, then finding her place in the next match: that consistency is now part of settling in at Lyon.
