2020 Olympics - Athletics: No African in the semi-finals of the 110m hurdles

While Nigeria's Tobi Amusan finished at the foot of the podium in the 100m hurdles, in the men's 110m hurdles it was a bad day at the office for Africa. All the African representatives went out of the competition as soon as they started. There was the Senegalese Louis François Mendy, the double African champion of the discipline Antonio Alkana (South Africa), the Mauritian Jeremie Lararaudeuse and the Comorian Fadane Hamadi. All failed to shine into the semis.
