MATCHS DU JOUR 1
There will be no Cameroonians in the semi-finals of the 50m freestyle at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. The two representatives of the green, red and yellow nation were eliminated in the overall ranking on Friday 30 July. A little consolation: they improve their respective personal records.
In the men's category, Charly Ndjoume finished first in the second series. The 34-year-old swimmer achieved a time of 27 seconds 22. A result that allows him to beat his personal best, which until now was 27 seconds 78.
It was the same for Norah Elisabeth Milanesi on the same distance in the women's event. The Cameroonian improved her personal best (27 seconds 13) with a time of 26 seconds 41. The gold medalist in the 50m butterfly and silver medalist in the 50m freestyle at the last African Games of Zone 2 (2019) finished first in the fifth race.
