Olympics: Tunisian Ayoub Hafnaoui in the 400m freestyle final

 

Ayoub Hafnaoui (18) has just distinguished himself in Tokyo. With a time of 3:45.68, the Tunisian swimming prodigy is ranked 8th out of 36 participants. He thus validates his place for the 400m freestyle final.

In the wake of this, the swimmer received congratulations from the Tunisian National Olympic Committee (CNOT). "Congratulations and encouragement from the president of the National Olympic Committee Mehrez Boussayane to the talented swimmer Ayoub Hafnaoui following his exceptional qualification in the 400m freestyle final," reads the Facebook page of the body.

The 400m freestyle final will take place on Sunday 25 July. Ayoub Hafnaoui won a bronze medal at the All Africa Youth Games in 2018. He had also caused a stir at the 2018 African Championships by winning a silver medal in the 4 x 200m freestyle relay. In addition to 3 bronze medals, in the 800m freestyle, 1,500m freestyle and the 4 x 100m freestyle relay.
