MATCHS DU JOUR 29
The Ghana-Nigeria double-header for the 2022 World Cup play-offs is only a few days away. The two teams will face each other on 24 and 29 March. If the coach of the Super Eagles Augustin Eguavoen has published a provisional list of 38 players since March 4, the Ghanaians are still waiting for the list of the Black Stars. The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has delayed the publication of the list of players. This is a strategic decision according to the body.
"It is a technical decision supported by the management and it is a well thought out and purely strategic decision. They felt it was a way to control or minimise the abuse that normally takes place before matches, especially on social networks. Sometimes public abuse gets to the players and affects their mentality," GFA's Director of Communications, Henry Asante Twum, was quoted in the Ghanaian Times as saying.
