AFCON 2022 Qualifiers: No room for error for Ivory Coast.

Ivory Coast will need to go the extra mile in qualifying for the Afcon competition in 2022. No room for error as the Elephants must not spare any points till the end of the qualifiers. Leaders of group K, the team has just 7 points.

Their status is precarious with two days to go before the end of the qualifiers. Madagascar is 2nd with 7 points and Ethiopia just behind with 6. As a result, the last two games of the Ivorians against Niger (5th day in Niamey) and especially against Ethiopia (at home), during the 6th and last day, will be decisive.

National Coach Patrice Beaumelle reiterates this loud and clearly. "The qualifiers are never easy, but the most important thing will be to do the job and qualify for the African Nations Cup," he says.

We can already imagine the pressure that rests on the shoulders of the French technician.
