The coach of the Lions of Senegal, Boniface Ndong has published the list of 12 players for the Afrobasket men. The tournament is scheduled from August 24 to September 5 in Rwanda. The presence of 3 local players marks this list. These are Mamadou Faye (AS Douanes), Cheikh Bamba Diallo (AS Douanes) and Pape Moustapha Diop (DUC).
This trio will discover the competition as well as Pierrià Henry, El Hadji Omar Brancou Badio, Mohamed Alga Ndiaye, Ibrahima Fall Faye, Pape Malick Dime and Boubacar Touré.
Youssou Ndoye, Maurice Ndour and Gorgui Sy Dieng are the only survivors of the Afrobasket 2017. The coach Boniface Ndong also has two reserves; Makhtar Guèye and Alkaly Ndour.
Senegal is housed in group D with Uganda, Cameroon and South Sudan. The Lions left Dakar on Friday 20th August at 8am for Kigali.
