Before leaving Arsenal to join Barcelona last winter, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had a difficult few months. The Gabonese striker was actually dismissed by his coach, Mikel Arteta, for repeated misbehavior. He then joined the Catalan club to find colors and put 13 goals in 23 games in the second half of the season. For the English journalist Piers Morgan, the Arsenal coach has mismanaged this case.
"I haven't heard anyone say that Aubameyang would be anything other than exemplary at Barca and a goal machine," he tells the English press.
Now he can go to Chelsea, managed by Thomas Tuchel who managed him at Dortmund and liked him so much that he wants to work with him again. Tuchel managed him superbly, Arteta chose to humiliate him and let him go-which cost us the top four."
Despite this up-and-down ending, Aubameyang will have left his mark on the London club. The 33-year-old scored 92 goals and provided 21 assists in 163 games.
