In the classification match for 3rd place, Stade Malien takes on Petro Luanda this Friday, May 26, at the Bank Kigali Arena, from 4pm GMT.
Beaten by Al Ahly (78-73) in the semi-finals, Stade Malien will be looking to clinch 3rd place and confirm their good tournament form. The Stadistes have shown good form this season, and a podium finish would reward their efforts. Aliou Diarra's team will be able to take advantage of the match against Al Ahly to make their mark.
Opposing them, Petro Luanda will be looking for 3rd place to put their disappointment behind them. The Angolan outfit were considered favourites for the title. They were eliminated by AS Douanes (92-86). Finalists in the last edition, won by US Monastir, Petro finished 3rd in 2021. The Angolan club has therefore always finished on the podium.
