MATCHS DU JOUR 30
Gina Bass has qualified for the semi-finals of the 60m event at the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Belgrade. The Gambian finished fourth in her heat. But thanks to her time (7s22), she is one of the 24 qualified for the semi-finals. Unfortunately, she will be the only African at this stage. The Egyptian Bassant Hemda who improved the national record in Egypt (7s31) and the Tanzanian Winfrida Makenji (7s71 best time) remain behind. It should be recalled that at the previous edition in 2018 in Birmingham, the Ivorians Murielle Ahouré (gold) and Marie Josée Ta Lou (silver) had achieved the double in the final.
