COSAFA Cup: Eswatini qualifies and Zambia out

It's already over for Zambia. The Chipolopolo, who won the last edition of the COSAFA Cup in 2019, have been eliminated from the first round, despite a final draw against South Africa (0-0) on Wednesday in Port Elizabeth.

Eswatini took advantage of this, drawing 1-1 with Botswana. Sabelo Ndzinisa opened the scoring for the Shlangu Semnikati in the 18th minute. Botswana equalized in the 65th minute through Thatayaone Kgamanyane , who scored his third goal of the competition.

The semi-final line-ups are now known. They will take place on Friday 16 July at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth and will pit South Africa against Mozambique and Senegal against Eswatini.
