Cycling/Road World Championships: Rwanda in line to host in 2025

Rwanda is well on its way to hosting the 2025 World Road Cycling Championships. The country wants to showcase its modern infrastructure to win the bid. Kigali was one of two African cities, along with Tangiers (Morocco), to host the event. "The signals are green in favor of Rwanda for the organization of the World Road Cycling Championships in 2025," said Abdallah Murenzi.

The president of the Rwanda Cycling Federation (Ferwacy) is more than confident. But next June, an inspection team from the International Cycling Union (UCI) is expected in Kigali. This team will arrive in Rwanda to evaluate all the conditions required to host the 2025 World Championships.
