The Moroccan national tennis team won a precious victory on Sunday against Ivory Coast in Abidjan, as part of the Davis Cup World Group II play-offs.
After having had the best on Saturday on the Ivory Coast team, Morocco still dominated the duels. In doubles, captain Mehdi Tahiri lined up Benchetrit Elliot and Lalami Laaroussi Younes who defeated, Sunday, Eliakim Coulibaly and Gueninle Abdoul Karim (6-3 6-4) in 1h26min. The Moroccan team is composed of Elliot Benchetrit, Adam Moundir, Yassine Dlimi, Lalami Laaroussi Younes and Walid Ahouda.
It is Adam Moundir who had offered the first point to Morocco after his victory Saturday (7-5, 4-6 and 7-5) on Eliakim Coulibaly, after 2h42 min of play. For his part, Elliot Benchetrit, recent winner of the international tournament in Doha, added a new point for Morocco by beating Elliot Kouamé on the courts of the International tennis club Sofitel in Abidjan.
