Benjamin Mendy will remain in prison for a little over a month. Judge Patrick Thomson, who is in charge of his case, refused his third bail application on Monday 11 October, reports the Manchester Evening News. The Manchester City player will now wait in custody for his next hearing, set for 15 November.
Benjamin Mendy is charged with alleged rape and sexual assault of three complainants, including a 17-year-old girl. He was arrested and remanded in custody on 27 August.
He was first heard and then held in a Liverpool prison. His next hearing will be used to prepare for trial. If he pleads not guilty, he will be tried on 24 January for a two to three week trial.
