The Cameroonian women's national basketball team is in Turkey. The Indomitable Lionesses are preparing for the Afrobasket scheduled to take place in Yaoundé from 17 to 26 September.
Fifteen players are retained for this training in Istanbul. Among them, 4 local players. They are Josiane Tcheumeleu (University of Douala), Merveille Nkoyock (FAP Yaounde), Sema Ekah and Carine Ngukoug (Overdose Yaounde).
During their stay in Turkey, the Cameroonians will play 5 friendly matches against local clubs. Galatasaray, Besiktas, Izmir, Fenerbahçe and Istanbul University will be on the Lionesses' menu. The training camp will then end on 5 September 2021. The Cameroonian team will then return home for the final phase of preparation. The host country is in group A with Cape Verde and Côte d'Ivoire.
