Monday 27 September was a special day for Wilfried Armel Zaha as the Ivorian international pulled on his 400th game in a Crystal Palace shirt in an official match. However, the player and his club had to face Brighton for the closing match of the 6th day of the Premier League on Monday night football.
The homeside Palace drew first blood in this match thanks to a penalty converted by the Ivorian striker himself (45+2). The Elephant thus scored his 70th goal for Crystal Palace in 400 matches in all competitions.
However, Brighton managed to equalize in the final seconds of the match (90+5) through Neal Maupay. With six points, Crystal Palace seats 15th in the Premier League table. Brighton is 6th with 13 points.
