On Thursday 19 August, as the Gunners prepare for their derby against Chelsea, scheduled for Sunday, the London club revealed that Aubameyang as well as Lacazette and Ales Runarsson were positive for Covid-19. This is the reason why they missed the first league game.
Aubameyang will however be available for the match against the Blues on Sunday afternoon. The latest tests of the Gabonese star are negative, according to club officials.
