Egypt will face Liberia on September 30 in Cairo in a friendly match. This will be the first appearance on the Pharaohs' bench of the new coach, Portuguese Carlos Queiroz, who replaced Hossam El Badry.
However, Egypt will not be able to rely on expatriates, and Queiroz will only have local players at his disposal.
This match will serve as a test in preparation for the next round of qualifying for the 2022 World Cup. The Egyptians will face Libya twice, on 6 and 10 October 2021 (Matchdays 3 and 4). Liberia will face Cape Verde (dates to be determined).
