Football: Togo has gone for two years without victory

Football: Togo has gone for two years without victory

Beaten by Senegal last Wednesday (0-2) and Namibia this Sunday, September 4 (0-1), Togo is still chasing a victory  in an official football match since September 2019.

Their last victory was during the first round of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers against the Comoros (2-0). Since this success, it has been the crossing of the desert for Togo. The Togolese have indeed not win any match during the 2021 AFCON qualifiers. The same witch hunting for this World Cup Qualifiers with two defeats in a row.

After losing to Senegal (0-2), Djene Dakoman and his teammates lost at home to Namibia (0-1). A surprising setback for Paulo Duarte's men who are already back to the wall in these qualifications. Only the first team in the group goes through to the third and final round. Next month, for the 3rd and 4th rounds, the Hawks will face Congo.
