The President of FIFA, Gianni Infantino, arrives Bamako on Thursday morning. He is welcomed by the Minister of Sports, Mossa Ag Attaher, the Coordinator of the United Nations Program in Mali, Mrs. Mbaranga Gasarabwe and the President of FEMAFOOT, Mamoutou Touré dit Bavieux.
Mali will soon inaugurate its National Technical Center for Football. The first stone of the edifice was laid this Thursday by Gianni Infantino. The center will stand on an area of 20 hectares in Kabala in the suburbs of the capital, Bamako. The infrastructure will include a four-star hotel and three soccer fields and an administrative block, among others. The work will last 18 months.
An initiative welcomed by the Malian authorities. "This center aims to promote and develop soccer in our country and to better supervise our youth," said Minister Mossa Ag Attaher. This infrastructure will change the image of Malian soccer, better professionalize us and propel our young talents towards a prosperous future," he continued. The visit to Mali only lasted a few hours.
