28-year-old Cameroon forward Henriette Michèle Akaba Edoa has left Belarusian club FC Minsk to join French top flight club ASJ Soyaux.
The former Lorema FC, Louve Minproff and Canon of Yaoundé forward helped FC Minsk to second place finish in the Belarusian Women’s top flight last season.
She has been brought in to help Soyaux beat the drop. They are currently ranked 10th in the French Women’s Championship with 10 points after 15 playing days with just three wins and draw.
Michèle Akaba has been attributed the number 28 jersey at the French club.
She has expressed her delight for moving to the French League.
“I chose France because they have one of the best Women’s Championships in the world,” Akaba said.
Akaba who won the Turkish Women’s top flight in 2017-2018 with Ataşehir Belediyespor has been capped 34 times for the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon.
