The Romanian Federation is considering Antonio Conceiçao to lead the country's national football team in the future. The name of the current coach of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon is quoted with insistence by the Romanian media.
According to gsp.ro, the Romanian Football Federation would have tried to contact Antonio Conceiçao. Even though the latter is under contract with Cameroon (6 matches without defeat) until 2022. The Portuguese coach has indeed been recruited to lead the Indomitable Lions to the next Africa Cup of Nations. If Romania is determined to open negotiations with him, it is mainly because of his exploits in the local championship.
Conceiçao has coached three clubs in the Romanian elite championship. Winner of the Cup in 2009 and 2016, and of the Super Cup in 2009 with CFR Cluj, he is presented by the local media as the most successful foreign coach in La Liga 1.
