Three gold medals and two silver. This is the result for the Ivorians at the Yaounde Judo Open. This great harvest of Ivorian judokas was partly won on Saturday, November 6. These performances place Côte d'Ivoire on the 2nd step of the podium behind Cameroon, winner of 7 gold and 7 silver medals. Ireland finished 3rd overall with one gold, one silver and two bronze medals.
For gold, the winners on the Ivorian side are Dadié Guillaume in the -73kg men's category, Fofana Salimata in the -52kg women's category and Diarrasouba Maïmouna -48kg women's. Silver went to Dabonné Daouda (-60kg).
Kobenan Koffi Krémé, the defending champion, won the second silver medal in the -100kg category. He beat Cameroonian Foundikou Kassimou in the semi-final.
