NBA: Sixers surprise the Lakers

Leading the East, Philadelphia won ahead of the Lakers (107-106) with a winning shot three seconds from the end of Tobias Harris (24 pts) on Wednesday night.

The Cameroonian Joel Embiid also distinguished himself with 28 pts. The Sixers (13 wins, 6 losses) confirmed their position.

LeBron James (34 pts) and Anthony Davis (23 pts) could not avoid a fifth loss to their franchise. The Lakers are 3rd in the Western Conference.

Toronto and Pascal Siakam (11 pts) bowed out to Milwaukee. Nigerian-born Greek winger Giannis Antetokounmpo (24 pts, 18 rbds) made a double-double, not to mention his 9 assists. He was 1 assist away from the triple-double. The Bucks are 2nd in the East, while the Raptors are 11th.
