Tunisia-Volleyball: Abdelmajid Jerad elected President of the Federation
Abdelmajid Jerad elected.He was elected new president of the Tunisian Volleyball Federation (FTVB) for the 2024-2028 term. The election took place at the elective General Assembly held on Wednesday April 17. Thirty-six (36) of the 38 affiliated clubs took part in the AGM. Jerad obtained 121 votes out of 188 (67 ballots cancelled).

Ons Jabeur's adventure comes to an end at the Stuttgart tournament. The Tunisian lost to Italy's Jasmin Paolini in two sets (7-6, 6-4). A seventh defeat of the season for Jabeur. However, her game seems to have improved since her last outings.
London Marathon: Tigst Assefa aims to break the event record
Tigst Assefa is the favorite to win the London Marathon, scheduled for Sunday April 21. The Ethiopian will be competing in the English city for the first time in her career. Assefa will be up against some formidable rivals, including Kenyans Brigid Kosgei, Ruth Chepngetich and Olympic champion Peres Jepchirchir, as well as London 2022 marathon winner Yalemzerf Yehualaw of Ethiopia. Tigst Assefa remains confident, however. "I prepared well in Kenya and I'm ready".
Gymnastics-World Cup: Kaylia Némour brilliantly qualifies for three finals
Kaylia Nemour brilliantly booked her place in the three finals of the final stage of the Gymnastics World Cup in Doha, Qatar. The Algerian topped the qualifiers with 15.400 points on uneven bars, 14.600 pts on beam and 13.500 pts on floor. Unsurprisingly, with marks like these, she qualifies in 1st place for the 3 finals. The Algerian will be aiming for three medals in these finals.
