Unlike the English press that already sees England in the quarterfinals, Gareth Southgate plays the card of caution against Senegal.
The English technician even fears the Senegalese selection. "They impressed us a lot. They have excellent individualities that can cause problems (to the opponent) and they play in a very structured team. (Aliou) Cissé did a great job," he said in a press conference. Southgate does not want to go through a potential penalty shootout to qualify. He says: "We'd like to win this game without extra time and penalties if possible, because we'd like to win it in 90 minutes.
