For the fourteenth time since 2011, South African club Orlando Pirates are changing coaches. The 46-year-old Spaniard José Riveiro has been appointed for a two-year term, replacing the local duo of Fadlu Davis and Mandla Ncikazi, who were brought signed in 2021 to replace German Jozef Zinnbauer.
Riveiro had been available since leaving Inter Turku (Finland last year), a club he coached for two seasons. He had previously coached Celta Vigo's youth teams and was assistant coach at several Finnish clubs (Honka, PK-35 Vantaa and HJK Helsinki.)
