Tennis: Ons Jabeur positive at Covid-19

Bad news for Africa's best female tennis player. The Tunisian Ons Jabeur, 10th in the WTA rankings, has just informed her fans that she has tested positive for the coronavirus on Tuesday 21 December.

"Hi everyone! I'm writing these words to tell you that although I'm already vaccinated, I've tested positive for Covid-19. Even though I have the symptoms, I hope that I will overcome this virus and recover quickly. I am currently in isolation in Tunisia and will keep you posted when I am fully recovered. Take care of yourself and your loved ones," Ons Jabeur posted on her Twitter account.

Five days ago, Ons Jabeur won the Mubadala exhibition tournament in Abu Dhabi by beating Olympic champion Belinda Bencic of Switzerland in three sets (4-6, 6-3, 10-8).
