Women's AFCON - Handball: No medal for host Senegal

The host country of the women's AFCON Handball will not finish on the podium. In the match for third place, Senegal lost to Congo 19-20. The Congolese were already leading at halftime (12-10).

After the break, Senegal struggled to make an impression. Congo took advantage of this to recite its handball and take 4 goals ahead (15-11). They will then resist against the Lionesses who come back to 1 goal (17-18) but miss the ball of the equalization. Senegal, which had finished 5th at the last AFCON in Cameroon, will be consoled with its 4th place and a qualification to the World Cup.
