MATCHS DU JOUR 10
Hubert Velud, coach of the Stallions of Burkina Faso, expressed his optimism that the Lions of Teranga of Senegal will qualify for the second round of the 2022 World Cup, which is taking place since November 20 in Qatar.
Invited on Bf1 TV to talk about the Stallions and the news of African teams at the World Cup 2022, Friday night, Hubert Velud confided his impressions on the absence of Sadio Mané which constitutes for him his great regret before suggesting that he still believed in a qualification of the Senegalese selection.
"The great regret I have in this World Cup is not to see Sadio Mané with Senegal. Mané is the ideal player to propel a team. He is an exceptional player. Now they won 3-1 against Qatar to get back on track. They are still in the race and I still believe in this qualification for the second round. We must remain optimistic," he said. On the other African representatives in this World Cup Qatar 2022, Hubert Velud thinks that "Ghana and Cameroon can also progress in the competition. Even Morocco and Tunisia. We are not far from the account but we are not there yet."
