Just hours after FIFA's decision, the South African Football Association (SAFA) reacts. The SAFA is asking for explanations from the football governing body before taking any decision.
South Africa is reacting to FIFA's decision. The world football governing body has rejected the South African Football Association (SAFA)'s request for an explanation. The latter had contested the result against Ghana, citing match manipulation. FIFA rejected South Africa's appeal and sent Ghana to the play-offs for the 2022 World Cup.
'' The South African Football Association will consider its options after world football's governing body rejected its protest following Bafana Bafana's controversial loss to Ghana's Black Stars last month," SAFA said.
The federation's president Tebogo Monthlante also says the body will seek an explanation from FIFA before assessing what action to take. "We have received the decision without details and we are asking FIFA for the reasons and will consider our options," said the SAFA president,
